Umarex Guantlet or Hatsan Flash?

General ratting at 15 yrds. Guantlet in .177 or Hatsan Flash in .22 or .25(all avaliable locally)?

The Gauntlet has some extensive aftermarket parts supply. I have shot the Hatsan Flashpup, but not the flash, I prefer the Gauntlet, I have the .22 caliber Gauntlet. You can get a 22 cubic inch tank for the Gauntlet, which could power a nights worth of shooting between fills. If you are into tinkering or not I recommend the Gauntlet, it has much more support than Hatsan rifles seem to.

there are some other low cost guns that are better out there, maybe not locally, but shipping can be worked out if you call the dealers, don't limit yourself to just what's available locally.

Flash is shorter and lighter. Gauntlet with a larger tank is a heavy almost unusable beast. I'd look more towards a gamo urban or even a stormrider for light weight maneuverability. What's your fill source?

For close range ratting on the cheap get a Hatsan Vectis and put a dot sight on it. The lever is fast and works well.

a Prod would be great for Rats, but I don't think it would take a Mongoose without a good head shot.

We have a hatsan flash in .25. I’ve had to take it down to service the o-rings etc. I have to say I’m impressed with the build quality considering it is a budget gun. All the internal components are quality materials. The only lack is speed (fps) and shot count, but both of these would be better in .22 (which I would probably go with if I bought another.) Accuracy is quite good to. you won’t be disappointed!

Wow, great price on the Marauder. I got mine in Jan for $397 new. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find it for $299 ?
