Well, boys, it isn't a dream! It's for real! I just took delivery of my .177 cal. Umarex Gauntlet!
I unboxed it, and everything is there! Only time will tell how well it works and holds up, but yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, and there also is a Gauntlet and they are being delivered - at least, Sportsman's Guide is delivering the .177 cal. ones they sold last March!
I've looked everywhere and found nothing to read, or view, about the .177 cal., so I might have one of the first ones sent out?
I know I have one of the least expensive ones sold, having only paid $242.99, delivered, for mine!
I won't be shooting it very soon, so before anyone asks me how it shoots, save your breath.
I'm sure someone else will post a review or video that will answer that question.
Since I also have a .22 cal. on order from Sportsman's Guide, and I don't have it yet, I have to believe the estimated shipping date of Dec. 1st, which is all I have to go on? Keeping this in mind, those of you who are waiting for the .22 cal. version might have a longer wait than I did? Same holds true for those who purchased yours from someone other than Sportsman's Guide?
I wanted to let everyone know the good news, so I haven't even read the owner's manual yet, and went right to this notification.
The only confusing thing I noticed about the gun is printed on the side of the gun - "Maximum pressure 1,250 psi (86 bar)"? Not sure if that is the fill pressure, or the regulated pressure? I thought that fill pressure was supposed to be 3,000 psi, regulated to 1,100 psi? Oh well, that's my question of the day to research? I won't be filling the reservoir until I am positive about those noted pressures!
