This is going to be the first part of a guide and review for the umarex fusion. I am doing this because today I found out that the gun is not a total piece of junk and could well be worth the sort of high amount "140 bucks on sale" in my case. I have seen the gun as high as 180. Anyway when I purchased this gun I found as most do that the end cap is dangerously hard to function and after a lifetime of co2 airgun experience I could never figure it out consistently. I damaged the piece messing with it and eventually replaced it with a solid end cap from archer airguns. The seal never swells anymore and the price is that I have to shoot it down to remove it safely. That is worlds better than the original. After getting the rifle running i was getting 6 to 8 inch groups. I replaced the rings and still crap. I finnaly realised that the 4x fixed scope from umarex was defective. Sucks because it was relatively clear for a free scope but whatever. I put my simmons k mart special from my first deer rifle and went to town. I shot over 100 times on 2 cartridges with no point of impact change. Thats at 8 meters so longer distances likely will show power curve but thats all the room i have in my yard. Anyway after 150 shots something wonderful happened. The gun smoothed out and even sounded quieter. My crosman premier piranhas started stacking up through the same hole. I had 4 fliers total for the next 200 shots. I was amazed. Tomorrow I will run the whole shot string over my chrono and share the results for you but I can tell you that this gun is super accurate. Its pretty much useless when u get it and u must factor in 20 more dollars for an end cap at least if not a new scope but once you do this is a shooter. Oh yeah its super quiet too like bb gun quiet. Anyway I thought I would share. Several of you have been working with me for months to try to iron this damn gun out. I can say that it was worth it. I am glad I didn't go with something else.
