Umarex Colt Commander .177 bb blowback air pistol trigger issue

I also have an Umerex Colt Commander and its been a great shooter but when I got it it seemed very dry. Their was no oil on the parts and that was causing the slide to lock back prematurely. After a good oiling the problem went away. I've heard others talk about these guns not being properly oiled as well.

Break the pistol down and oil the area that is sticking. Also oil the rails on the slide and frame in other words any moving parts. I hope this helped.

Thank you, it most definately did! I was thinking of making wood grips using my bandsaw; similar to yours!

"real" 1911 grips fit with some modification (they need to be relieved on the backside a bit to allow room for the co2 cartridge. It's really easy with a dremel or even a sharp chisel. Some brands of grips already come with some relief to improve fit on a 1911, but I don't recall which. I've got a nice set of cocbolo on mine :)

Rosewood etc. can be had for about $50.00 on eBay. Walnut is less.
