I was just watching an Airgun Depot video on the RAW HM1000X LRT and the guy mentioned that the HM1000x magazine loads from left side which could interfere with focus wheel.

He said but for ultimate accuracy you would be single loading from right side if you were shooting a match or just wanting best accuracy. Why is single loading more? accurate Because there's less damage to pellet during loading ?

The TM 1000 (also from RAW) is designed for FT accuracy and incorporates hand loading as a part of the process. The loading port is extra wide and allows you to load by pushing a pellet into the chamber with a finger or thumb similar to an HW 77/97 or TX which are also designed for FT accuracy. Loading by hand (no mag or ss tray) allows the shooter to feel the pellet to chamber fit. Pellets too large or small can then be discarded to assure consistent start pressure for each round. And, yes, this degree of consistency does promote accuracy - especially after you have washed, weighed, and lubed your ammo.

I've done countless tests with air arms s510 ( .22 and .177), BSA R10 -.177, FX 400 Royale,. 177, wood stocks x2 models, and a daystate pulsar, mag vs single load. In every instance, the single load was measurably more accurate at 50 yards. Oh and the Guantlet and Marauder, .177- definetly better single shot.

My crown continuim in .177 is about the same at 50 yards , mag vs single load, but honestly, the crown isn't as accurate as the other rifles in that caliber. One day, theyll get the right barrel produced and I can give a real comparison with the magazine.

Going up to .25 cal, mag vs SS seem to be pretty equal, and I'd compete from the magazine confidently.

But like everything airgun, ymmv...

So are we saying that magazine's that are not spring loaded like AA and Weihrauch for example has the potential to be more accurate ? Curious

Seems to be the prevailing point of view. Unlike the above poster, I haven't felt the need to shoot my Pulsar single loaded because it shoots great through the magazine. Possible to be better single loaded? I guess so, but hard to believe.
