It’s a slippery slope because there are many things that can be misused by a deranged individual to inflict harm to others. By this logic, families of victims of the Oklahoma Cityfederal building could sue the company that made the fertilizer Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols used to blow it up.

What about Ryder who rented him the van? How about the hotel he stayed at sue them too?

Slippery slope forsure.

Just because they can sue doesn’t mean they can win.

Sadly we seem to think the legislatures can fix our problems .

I feel for those people it a damned shame and I’d be all for anything that would solve the problem.

I’m a dentist in a little town in central Pa. one of my patients was killed in that shooting in Vegas. My daughter was a high school classmate. Tragic. Fellow was a civil engineer celibrating his 25 wedding anniversary. I just extracted a baby tooth for his youngest son. I can understand people wanting to lash out in anger. If we had that same life experience we would likely want to do the same.

I think legislation is NEVER going to fix any of this BUT if you do think the only potentially affective course would be confiscation and I don’t see that even getting into the discussions. Too many laws now and not being obeyed
