TX200 Zan 10gr Slugs

I ordered some Zan slugs to try in my TX200 at 50 yards. I usually shoot at 50 yards. The reference tonight was my shooting AA 8.44gr Diabolo pellets. Light wind and about 90 degree Fahrenheit. High humidity.

AA Diabolo were shooting about .70 to .80 tonight.

Zan was shooting right at .83 to .85 tonight.

Concern with the Zan was it is a VERY tight fit and hard to seat when loading. Such out just a hair. Shot very well for me though.

The slugs may need a little more velocity to tighten up the group. Slugs tend to need a high velocity than pellets do to attain the desired accuracy.

I have not tried the Zan brand yet. I have tried the JSB Knockouts 10.03gr slugs and have had good results with them in my springers and HW44. My HW77 springer turned up with the Vortek kit chucks them very well. They like to go fast. I am giving them a go in my TX200 today.

my concern with a tight fit would be loading the projectile straight in the breach , snug yes/ tight no

You will also loose a few FPE when shooting slugs. I was close to slugging an RX, but Barracuda's still won. You could try griffen 10gr.

The TX200 gave me a ragged hole of five Baracuda Match 10.65gr 4.52 head size at 50 yards. The JSB Knockout slugs shot a two inch group at the same distance. I have had zero luck with slugs and springers.
