Lovely rifle with period correct scope. As a lefty and owner of a l/h TX, it would seem a perfect opportunity for someone who has not yet taken the plunge into the deep end of the pool to snatch up a real classic. If you like accuracy and fine build quality, you will not be disappointed.

Wish you advertised it sooner, I shoped for one for 3 months , ended up with a MK3, no complaints but the MK2 is a little less weight. Competed with a MK1 for 15 yrs and it served me very well !!!!

I've had several MK2's (still own one) but the one Ken Reeves sold me was a special one. Won 2012 FT National Open Piston with that gun. Was out of the country for over a year with absolutely zero trigger time. Mounted a 10-50 Hakko MD on Friday- eve of the competition and worked out my scope #'s.Â

That was my MK1....I miss that rifle! When I retired I didnt think I would ever compete again so just kept the R1 for hunting....time passed and I wanted something easier to cock with super accuracy so back to the TX I went...MK3 is a great gun but more weight than the MK 1 or 2...getting heavy for these old muscles..

Is yours a MK1,2, or 3?Â
I love the MK1 as a lefty. No anti-bear trap on one side and loading port on the other side. I can get used to it but the first several outings felt like a Rubik's cube.

My TX200 Lefty has the bear-trap and loads on the left side,which for me is a pain because I am right-handed yet shoot left-handed.
What I really needed was a lefty stock with a right-handed action......the TX is a great springer,but my HW97 is way easier to load thus more fun .

boscobrea, do you shoot left handed because you're left eye dominant or is there more to it? Interesting!
