Tx200 50 yards for fun

I have not been able to get to the range for a couple of weeks as my truck was in for repairs. I shot pistol indoors while waiting and shopped for tuning stuff for the TX. I cleaned it up and this was its first trip after doing so. It has not fully settled yet.

I was out of practice for sure, and the wind was coming from 3 o'clock to 6 o'clock then to 9 o'clock. I didn't have flags with me. I was shooting from the bench. The TX currently has a Vortex Diamondback 6-24x50mm. I was shooting AA Field Heavies 10.3 weight sorted 10.4. I shot some to warm up and settle in.

The targets have a one inch 10 ring with a 0.5" "X" ring. Each score ring is 1/2 inch larger than the previous. So 10 is 1 inch, 8 is 2 inchs, 6 is 3 inchs and 4 is 4 inches.

There are 5 shots per bull for 150 per card possible. I used 1 card for sighters and shot 2 cards for score. I was not shooting groups but going for score. Thus adjusting for percieved wind. Top of the card is marked with a "T".

Card 1 was 137/150 with 4 X's and a 50/50 bull.

Card 2 was 135 of 150 with 2X's.

I need more practice for sure. It was my first summer outing at 50 yards so it will take me more time to settle down.

Very good start. You need flags or even just flagging tape hung up. That will help your score more than anything else you can do. You will soo figure out how far and where to hold off by what your flags show. Break into your piggy bank and get another TX in .22. Fights the wind much better then the .22. Soup cans at 100 with my D54 in .22 is easy.

Don't forget this later thread as well.
