Two Rats… for the Pathfinder XR

Both kills at 30 yards with red light attached. Located rats at 6x and zoomed to 12x for the kill shots. The first smaller rat made me gag as it was slimed in manure. The second rat was satisfying for it size. Haven’t killed one that size in s long time. As I sit here waiting for the next one. The coyotes are yipping it up out in the field… I missed an easy 15 yard shot at just a head sticking out the hole. This was just a scouting trip. Now I know their here…😁 Now driving home…

25 yard zero, so minimal holdover at 30 yards… Was actually sending with the TP in the middle position. The Pathfinder is a little too hot for the type of ratting I scouted tonight. Going forward the Atomic is coming out for them. The shot I miss was simply too close for the Pathfinder and the 6-24x50 Helos is too big and doesn’t zoom down enough for the shifty rats. Felt great to smoke the big porker though, am shooting through fencing and the bottom of a deteriorated metal wall. Threading the needle if you will… The image below points to the small area I kill these two this evening. I moved all the two bags out of the way that you see in the pic. And the shooting was at night.

Randall, you know how much fun it is to snipe them. I saw quite a few last night, so am excited. Now I just have to get my setup right. Am going there this afternoon to take some range finder measures. And to clear a few things out of my sight line down range. The one I missed at 15 yards, I later realized I could make a surer shot from my 40 yard table.

Luis! It is a literal BLAST to snipe rats! You are preparing smartly so that they have ZERO CHANCE when you pre-range then return to get'em! Can't wait to see the carnage 🤗.
