These two brutes were in two different swallow boxes and competing for a female that I was trying hard to get first. She disappeared so I plugged her boyfriends instead. I’m always amazed how heavy and stout English sparrows are, no wonder they can drive off blue birds and swallows.

I wait sometimes when they are going in and out of my martin house then shoot one off of the porch and when the other comes out looking for the mate pop that one two
