Tuxing Gold Air Filter thread question

Hello everyone,

What is the thread on the Foster Fitting that fits the cap on a Tuxing Gold Air Filter?

It is not a 1/8 BSPP and it is not NPT.

If I was to guess, it's likely metric 10x1 or M8

I believe Camaro454 is correct. My Tuxing gold filter is definitely M10 X 1.

ThomasT I don't know what fitting you are looking for, male or female, but here is a link to a seller on Ebay that sells metric fittings. Hope this helps...

Thanks but they did not show Foster with the M10x1 thread. I did find some on Amazon.

ThomasT - When you find a replacement please post a link. I have the same filter and that male foster fitting will no longer fit into ANY of my female connectors. I had a really tight fit to begin with, it started to have a leak after 6 months of use. It had been connected to the hose from my compressor, I replaced the oring on the hose and now the hose won't fit back over the male on the tuxing. I've tried every female foster I have and none will fit over the tuxing's male fitting. I was about to start a search. Thanks.

I think most of the foster type fittings that are made in China can have less than stellar tolerances and quality control...

Yes, there is a standard...everything that comes from Asia is metric, from EU is BSPP, only North Amerika is using NPT.

I replaced that fitting as well, but with a flex hose which not transferring the vibration to other fittings.
