TUXING 4500PSI PCP Air Compressor Review

I purchased the TUXING TXEDT032 300Bar compressor from the Tuxing Authorized Store on AliExpress. Unfortunately, the unit stalled at just 2700 psi, well below its advertised capacity. I contacted AliExpress to initiate a return, as the listing clearly stated “free returns.”

After a week, I was told that the seller refused to cover return shipping, directly contradicting their advertised policy. Now, three weeks later, I still have not received a return label or any meaningful resolution.

This has been a frustrating experience, and I would strongly caution others against purchasing from the Tuxing Authorized Store

.

Ali express is infuriating in general. I bought direct from tuxing (over 1000 usd) because somebody along the way stole my guage at customs or in shipping. They sent a nice replacement right away.

I hope you used PayPal, they always side with the buyer.

I'd recommend some mechanical things to check but if you haven't done that already, I don't think it's an option. My compressor came with a 2900psi blow off valve on it, i figured out how to tweak it to 4700. If you've only run it a couple minutes and want to try and figure it out, post some pics and im certain the group will help you figure it out.

I’ve took mine completely apart, and put it back together. I had a bad pump and warped my original Tuxing hi pressure head. I had to replace , piston, piston rod, cylinder, and new head. (At the time $69). Tuxing no longer make the head like on the original. So I had to modify mine to a new head. Since then( 4 months) no hickups, and I use the dog pee out of mine. If you keep them running cool. The only thing I’ve had to change on mine is the reed on low compression side, ($9 with new plate) and hi pressure piston rings($10). ✌️

Im unfamiliar with your particular compressor, after watching and primarily listening to it, I'm tempted to say this is motor or power supply related (could involve switches, relays, fuses etc)

Is it 12 volt capable? If not is it 120 or 220v as ordered?

Can you monitor individual cylinder temps with a thermocouple or laser thermometer if you have one?

I'm not trying to scare you but it sounds like two options here, the least likely is it doesn't have enough oiling and it "stuck" or there's a thermal expansion issue. The other option is electrical since it sounds like the motor isn't maintaining power. My tuxing had some weird wiring and has an outrageous startup current.

The only thing they respond to in a situation like this is pesistent work on your part. 2-3 hours claims through aliexpress, bad reviews, chargeback on credit card. Do all 3. Unless you want to be the repair center. Repairing is an option if you are technical and want to invest the time. If you rebuild it with proper assembly maybe even without parts, it will work.

Judging by the sound made when coming to a stop, my belief is there is likely and overcurrent draw with the motor and the motor on board protection shut it down. When this occurs, if you immediately vented the pressure and restarted would it re-engage immediately? If not, how much time passes before your able to restart the test with shutdown again at 2700 psi?
On the video the temp gage is reading 77.4 deg F..is that correct?

Send PayPal on them or reverse the charge. Watch new stuff show up that they said they couldn't do.

That’s no an electrical issue. If it is, it would be the capacitor. But if it’s the cap, it will not start. I’ve fixed several Tuxings, and the one time I saw that, it was water in the second stage piston. Or a big amount of water in the low compression side. If too much water build up on hi pressure side. Water will not compress like air, and it will lock the pump

I find them to be fairly quiet considering how fast they are. Mine will put 1100 psi in a 45 minute SCBA in 11 minutes. Can your GX do that? But yes, they are too loud to use in your house.
I have both of mine in the spare room, I don't think they're all that loud. The one on the left I have had for 4 years and the other around 1 year. Keeping up on the Maintenace (cleaning air system) including the right oil and oil changes, temps below 120 Is crucial.

It reminds me of an issue I had in a shop machine. A small piece of debris was beweet 1 leg of the contacts and it worked fine until you pulled some current for a while and then loaded up like this and made the breaker do things breakers shouldn't do. Granted my experience was 3 phase.

If he hydrolock stalled it or crashed the piston into the cylinder head, it would be very similar but MUCH louder and more clatter, or an instant expensive sounding stop 1 time, ime (Yong heng fun and vw experience).

He's missing horsepower somewhere. I'd be chasing down every switch, relay, wire, winding start or run cap and wiring terminal with my crazy data logging multi meter in his shoes. There's so many things to go sideways with these electrically since we don't know if it was even built to spec.
