What would be the problem in turning the transfer port to .177 in a .22 cal gun and reducing the hammer some to be able to shoot in a barn for much reduced power?
Yup. Thats how we do our barn killin. Low low for inside gives me around 500fps with light pellets. Go to high power for roof sniping once outside and im screaming slugs out of the same gun. Have to love it!
agreed. I was at a small gathering of a field target shooting this Sunday where a few of us would meet and plink some knock down targets once a month. I haven't been for over two years and I showed up with my Crown and just dialled to MIN and it was fine knocking these targets no problem. I think it was about 500fps or a bit more.
That's what I thought, feed the same air through a smaller hole with a lighter hammer strike and should have more power than the BB guns we shot everything on the farm with as kids. Man now that is a history lesson.
