I scouted a few places and without fail I had to stop for giant flocks on my way over and nothing when I get to where it is legal to hunt.

amen! My usual haunts were ghosted. Weeks before, game camera's full of birds, over 20 at a time, Starting last week- none.
got lucky by going to a property I help control ground squirrels. Neve a bird there- and suddenly, there are birds everywhere.

I wish NY state allowed air rifles for turkeys. I so want to get one with my Vulcan but atlas will have to use my crossbow instead.
