I have an FX Wildcat MK2 in .25. I have put in a Huma reg set at 150. Installed high flow port and high flow pellet probe. I am able to get around 900 fps with 34 gr pellets.I thought I may get up to 950 fps so I could shoot some slugs. It seems difficult to get the exact hammer spring tension to get 900 plus. Any thoughts? New spring? Heavier hammer? ???

well i have never shot or owned a wildcat but i have a maverick which is similar. Mine with the rear reg set at 130 and a 600 mm barrel i get 930. when you turn your hammer spg clockwise does the fps go up or down, if up your reg pressure is too high for hammer if down well you didn’t say weather it 5 or 700mm barrel as you would get more velocity in the longer barrel. hope this helps you out a little

You will benefit greatly from the huma air tuning spring which is basically a heavier spring for the hammer. Augie (bigragu) has mine tuned for 960fps with 34 grain jsb’s. It’s totally doable, but my reg is set to 165b to achieve this.
