If you are going to rebuild it is not that difficult, only watch for the main spring when you remove the rear section ....When reassembling you will need a "Spring Compression Tool" commonly known as "Spring Press"; those are sold commercially but if you are going to do the job sporadically, you might as well save some money and build one yourself.
DO NOT try to assemble the gun by pushing the mainspring without a spring press, your main spring will bend and get damaged permanently or will slip and you may have an accident, when main springs are not perfectly straight the gun looses power and precision.

For a clever commercial tool and how to take the mechanism apart:

...You you can but that at Pyramid Air for $89.95 US
This video is for a RWS 350 (RWS and DIANA are the same gun - different brands): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rL4ukRx1Omo
Before you remove a single screw and while taking apart you gun, take many pictures so you have a reference in case you need it...Also download the diagram for the particular Diana Model you have, those are available all over the internet...Check with Pyramid Air or Umarex for the parts...If just rebuilding you will basically need the piston cup and the breech seal (Cheap), if the main spring is bent or damaged you should consider replacing it...If you want to modify power with a stronger spring or if you don't find factory parts search for Maccari replacement parts and upgrade kits:
