Tuning Tuning springers. Who does it?

Before you send it to anyone, ask them what parts they will use, and what work they are actually going to do to the rifle.

Keep in mind there are no qualifications to call yourself a "tuner", a "tunemeister", the "godfather of airguns", etc. You get the picture.

I would strongly recommend opening them and checking them out yourself.

Thanks, gentlemen, for the replies and info.

While I appreciate the DIY suggestions, and being perfectly capable of buying or building a spring compressor and learning the guns myself, 1) I have no time for that and 2) I don't have the experience of a well seasoned pro. Finally, I have even less time to become a pro. I just want it done without the bother.
There is so much going on and I keep too many fires lit already, I'm not willing to go down that road. I won't go into details.

I've contacted a choice I made here with the info given. Once we've talked and I've shared details of my concerns and any possible work that may need done I'll know better if having them worked on is the best course of action or not. I'm purposely leaving out a lot of details concerning these guns, for that I'm sorry. At this time there's no need to discuss my reasons for the work or any past work done, of which there is plenty.
The experience of a well seasoned tuner is my primary need for the project and gives me even less motivation to do it myself since I wouldn't know what was looking up at me, needing attention.

Should I have the rifles inspected and especially if I have work done or repairs made, I'll then consider posting details of the rifles here. It'll be like a review of sorts, consisting of the past services and the reasons for my desire to have them gone through again.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I was surprised to not find a dedicated sticky here somewhere concerning services and tuning but that's what prompted this thread with the question.

Since someone asked, these guns are German. The R1 I believe is West German, the R9, later Germany. From memory. Both guns are on Weirauch's serial number list.

Well, it appears that asking such a service be performed is taboo for some reason. Who worked on these rifles is irrelevant until a good reason is found to name the person. Some of you have put it together, others have not. All I needed is someone with knowledge to look these over and confirm their condition but that seems to much to ask.
I came to delete this thread but that doesn't seem possible for the author so possibly can a mod delete it? I can't even lock it.
