Tuning scoping and shooting the Lefty Theoben Eliminator 22

I’ve owned quite a few Theoben gas Rams over the years. I originally lusted after one as a youngster because of the sheer Magnum power.

After many years and many models, I’ve come to the conclusion that they are usually overcharged. Meaning there’s too much pressure in the gas ram. And the result is too much velocity too much recoil.

I turned this one down to about 22 foot pounds. It’s a very analog process. It’s also very worthwhile.

The rifle is so much more fun to shoot, and much easier to shoot accurately.

Below are a couple of groups shot with Crossman premiers brown box.

The first three were when I was sighting in, and getting used to the rifle. The last one I was quite proud of. Very pleased. Five shots 60 yards. From a front rest.
