My question is I have an fx impact mk2 22 cal with 700mm barrel tension kit with 720 plenum and power block .can u tell me in steps how to tune so I can learn Ken Hicks tuned my gun to shoot Griffin slugs 35 grain at 970.my reg is at 150 .
Looking for accuracy with high shot count .looking to learn how to dial my scope and read my turretsIn short there are multiple different ways to tune it lol . I mean no disrespect at all but is your goal raw power or accuracy with high shot count or a super low power tune for indoor pesting as a few examples of what I am trying to express / explain here . a lil more information would be very helpful .
Also if searched for here on the forums at AGN or on youtube there is an absolute plethora of information of what I was referring to above on how to tune it in any way you wish . It would benefit you as there is a lot to take in to account lol . We do understand if you are new to it as all of us were the same way at some time.
Heck some of the people here are so helpful and willing to share their knowledge it is not even funny haha .
A lil research or added information on what you are wanting to do would go along way . I hope this did not come across in a poor manor and welcome to the rabbit Hole haha .![]()
I'm shooting an impact i got from someone. Now has an SD of .8 and an extreme of 3.7fps.I am about to do the same to a M3 sniper .22. I am going to run the reg at 100bar put the dwell valve at 2 lines and hammer adjuster in the middle. Shoot for accuracy. Adjust the hammer till it is a good SD/ES and see how it does. If accuracy is good, then adjust the dwell til the SD/ES are as tight as you like and shoot away.
best bet is YouTube videos. Watch as many as you can find.My question is I have an fx impact mk2 22 cal with 700mm barrel tension kit with 720 plenum and power block .can u tell me in steps how to tune so I can learn Ken Hicks tuned my gun to shoot Griffin slugs 35 grain at 970.my reg is at 150 .
150 is a good place to be, for slugs. Unless you want to shoot heavy pellets 150 will be a bit much if you want to lower the energy for pellets. I tried the recipes and tune methods here but in the end I just play with cause and effect. I get near the velocity I want, use the valve adjuster to lower air use if it's sloppy and then fine tune for precision groups. The VA gets touched once usually and the rest is micro adjust more often than not.My question is I have an fx impact mk2 22 cal with 700mm barrel tension kit with 720 plenum and power block .can u tell me in steps how to tune so I can learn Ken Hicks tuned my gun to shoot Griffin slugs 35 grain at 970.my reg is at 150 .
Dead on. the valve is the " make this hammer setting work" cheat code. I do the same. Find velocity, Use valve adjuster to tighten it and micro adjust HS to perfect.150 is a good place to be, for slugs. Mines 700 and the best it ever did was 130 bar and 23 grain slugs at the top, 18 grain jsb at the bottom in the 900s for all of them. Just power wheel adjustments. Mines at 148 now and 73 fpe at the 34 grain slug settings. Slug liner and I lost use of any pellets other than mrd. That has a hefty power tune on it. Do you not like that much power or is more about just learning tuning and the gun ? Would also need to know if the internals like hammer and spring have been changed? If wanting to go to pellets the 700 will probably lean toward the heavier spectrum of pellets. 21-25 gr. Heck I never get to talk Airguns enough so if you want hit me up in pm and we can discuss some of it over the phone if that would help![]()
