Tuners who specialize in Air Arms PCP's?

Hey Y'all,

I'm looking to send my .25 S510 to someone to have it tuned. I usually do all of my own tuning, but I shot pretty well last season so I'm looking to treat myself :)

I don't know of any tuners who are known for their work on AA rifles. Anyone have any suggestions? Allen (Alan?) Z and Motorhead (if he's still tuning) come to mind as possible guys for the job.

Thanks,

Nic

What is wrong with how the 25 caliber S510 shooting?

Air Arms come with Life time warranty if there's any issues.

Assuming It wasn't messed around with.

Nothing is "wrong" with it. It shoots just fine. It's my 100yd BR gun so I'd like the power increased (it's at 44 FPE now, aiming for 50 or so) and then the hammer/valve spring balanced to maintain decent harmonics.

For that much of an increase you'll need to port the valve(the whole thing. Considering how AA builds their guns I don't see another way. Doing so is going to require rebalancing the hammer/spring and so on. What you're asking for is a full redesign of a gun that's given you all the extra it has. Also it's going to cost a lot. Having said that I understand why it needs to be an Air Arms. Good luck in your search.

That's how my Daystate HRXL .25 is. It's a beautiful and accurate gun, but 20 shots in the low 800's is it. I tried adjusting the striker but it just really moves the sweet spot up and down, still 20 shots! In the end I decided to keep it because I have a big carbon bottle and shoebox compressor, so air isn't a problem like it was when the dive shop was a 140-mile round trip. But my FX Wildcat is insanely more efficient - almost 50 regulated shots @880fps per fill. It's just not pretty. :)

That said...I would also be interested in anyone that knows how to get more efficiency out of the Daystate, power is just fine. (PM me so as not to disrupt the OP's question.)

BTW - not trying to derail your thread!! Carry on!
