Trying to get away from big table scopes

Want to try some thing light and fast on target, Monstrum tactical 1-5x24 G3 FFP Reticle type -C
Yes light weight compared to my giant Athlon scopes , Love the Reticle Its like a upside down C with a dot in the center, I tried it on my light little Mutant scope good for 50 yards but no head shots on sparrows even at 30 yards just body shots, Did take a euro dove off the high line wire at 55 yards clear blue sky you can see the dot.
I think I paid 229 on amazon , Trying to decide if I should keep it, Oh this is just a try out for the Huben coming in Jan,

Seems that Monstrum got a bad review years ago from someone on here and they’ve never seemed to bounce back in the airgun world. Personally, I like them a lot for my critter guns. You get a lot of the same features that are on the upper tier scopes such as FFP, locking and resetable turrets, illuminated reticle, caps, some come with an ARD, and every Monstrum scope I’ve bought came with a set of beefy mounts. Sure, it doesn’t have the clarity as some of the upper tier scopes but for someone wanting the features above along with crisp turret clicks, and is wanting something a bit better than the norm options suggested when ones on a budget, that’s where the Monstrum line fits in.

Just recently Monstrum has announce a lifetime warranty on their scopes, and I got one use their rubber scope caps that look exactly like the more expensive vortex rubber caps, for a third of the cost. Lifetime warranty on those, also.

I have a spare 6-18 x 50 gen1 in FDE, on picatinny mounts that I keep for the sole purpose of throwing them on a guys gun that he shipped to me without a scope, and that thing has never failed me in accuracy tests to show how good the gun is shooting.

My only complaint is that the reticle lines are thick and the center dot easily covers the standard size 1/2” bullseye so it makes stacking shots difficult, but I don’t use my Monstrum scopes for paper exclusively except to finalize sight in.

The thick lines end up being a blessing when I hook up my pard unit as I easily see the crosshairs when im zeroing in on a skunk at 50 yards. The pard thins out the lines and they end up being perfect looking thru the pard.
