I have some .177 pellets doing the same

The light 10.03 grain JSB Knock Out slugs do the same out of my Sig ASP20 .177. They fly around 950 fps and although they expand very well, the middle is left with a little see through hole. Light KO slugs left and heavier one on the right.

Nice! I haven’t had much luck with 10.5 grain KO accuracy wise but will try again with a different tune.
