Trolls and other forum Parasites

Been noticing a guy here lately posting almost nothing but critical and barbed comments . These remarks aren't helpful in any other way than to highlight how big of a horses ass he can be .
This is a really cool forum with some really good guys , some are like me and know very little . Some are very knowledgeable and willing to share with those of us who occasionally need some tips. But when some A-Hole is acting like a horses ass it just makes others reluctant to post because they don't want to be on the receiving end of that kinda crap . And they shouldn't be .
Michael told me one-time that only about 15% of the members actually post . That's a shame . But when you guys see some jerk just spewing hatefulness take a minute to think how pitiful their life must be to come here to try and bumm out good folks ....Then take another minute to post negative feedback and flag their comments.
If your like me , when I first came to the forum I didn't want to be the new Goober with zero knowledge asking dumb questions. But when I realized that the guys were helpful and not critical of my ignorance it was Great !!,.... But when some jerk jumps down people who post throats telling them that they are stupid , or buy a REAL AirGun and sell that junk they just purchased it's easy to see why guys are hesitant to post.

Well, it's a sad thing to say but I have noticed similar behavior on other forums, some unrelated to airguns. The forums which are most proactive and rid themselves of trolls as soon as possible are also the ones most pleasant to peruse. I think thatbwhen it becomes apparent that such behavior is not welcome or tolerated the trolls try to find somewhere else for their nonsense. The older I get the less time I want to waste on fools like that.

I am man enough to say it may be me, I post to other sites and I have posted how I did not like how AGN slammed the Mutant, said it was made in China and made from cheap parts, Just wondering how you guys are going to respond to the Priest, A gun that some are saying is a FX impact copy, Like saying a flashlight is a copy of a candle .
The Priest is a simple gun in every way, The Impact is the most complex air gun made to date,

I've never been on a forum where the peabrain troll population is lower than that of people with active braincells... except this one! Welcome to the age of the Internet Joe. A-holes where always amongst us, but being an a-hole in real life (face to face) is something that most of them don't have enough cojones for. But thanks to the internet and it's relative anonymity, they can do their thing. You see it on social media, replies on news sites, forums, basically everywhere on the internet. I've had to deal with them in the past also, when I ran a forum back in the day. One of them even went so far that he was able to track down my home address and sent me a bullet by mail, and posted a picture on the forum of the school where my daughter went to. I eventually tracked down the mofo myself, confronted him (and reported the incident to the police) and he was the sorriest pathetic excuse of a human being I've ever seen in my life, and the sissy ran off like I was ready to shoot him or something. Nine out of ten times, they're just pathetic little winers who have no job, no social life, no spouse, and nothing better to do than fill the internet with stupid remarks in the hope discussions derail.

Joe, my good friend. My advice to you and everybody else is; ignore them, never go into a discussion with them and they will eventually go away. Because feeding the trolls is what keeps them alive.

Joe you are one of the best on this forum. You have helped me and many others on this forum and I always enjoy your posts. Keep up the good work and try to ignore the trolls. I have only had one attack me while I was on this forum and I ignored him. You are one of the best members on this forum and so is Marksman3006. You guys make this forum what it is supposed to be. Informative and fun to read. It pissed me off too, when that jerk attacked Marksman3006. Marksman3006 is a great guy and a friend and I hope he knows that there is always going to be some pathetic person that doesn't have a life and wants to spread misery to build himself up by making fun of others.

What's funny is I never even knew what the little dots beside our names even were for till he said something . Lol..I thought it had something to do with number of posts . I'd give it till end of the weekend , and the newest troll will be gone . Michael and Moderator s stay on it when they see a problem .

Thanks mrjohns. Being completely honest here.....its real easy for me to just ignore the guy. Just skip the post as if it wasnt even there. Going to take a whole lot more to ruin my zen....lol.

You know what a GREAT feature would be on this forum (or any other forum for that matter)? A button that allows you to ignore/block all the posts by someone. It's the best way to deal with trolls.
