Tripod the deer

There’s a nice cool little patch of grass in front of my 25 yard target with shade from elderberry bushes. And a two year old whitetail buck I named Tripod has been using it for afternoon naps. I saw him last fall with a broken leg. Never thought I’d see him again, but he is totally used to me shooting and he even goes to sleep during shooting sessions lol. I’m hoping that he tames down enough to feed him through the winter. There is a big lump and a crazy angle on the broken leg, but he seems to be able to get around pretty good.

Deer are very tough and resilient. If he was to run ,you'd never know he had a broken leg. Cool to watch eh?

He is there almost every afternoon. Looking kind of ragged but that might be losing the winter coat. Definitely fun to watch.
