Tripod Deployment and Shooting Stability Tips

This video is pretty damn good for tips on deploying and stabilizing a tripod in the field (I’m thinking in terms of hunting here). With practice one may be able to cut down on the time it takes to capitalize on an opportunity to take a good shot while stalking an animal from a distance. I like how he teaches the use of your skeletal system to provide a solid base, but also reinforces fundamentals of shooting. I caught the last guy’s finger placement on the trigger almost immediately, but didn’t catch how he was gripping his rifle. I could relate to how movement correlates between grip, magnification, and pulse.


Yes, they’re being taught using center fire rifles, but the fundamental principles apply to shooting our air rifles.
