Tuning Trigger Replacemnt for FWB 124?

ARH, Jim Maccari makes them. There aren’t any currently listed on his site. You have to watch his site to see them listed when he does another run of triggers. He’s got a nice custom walnut stock currently for sale for an FWB 124/127

If you find (and that's a BIG IF!) A trigger I'd be interested in your original if it's in good shape. The automatic safety on mine doesn't engage when I cock the rifle and I suspect the trigger tab that engages the safety slide may be worn or broke off. The gun shoots so nice that I'm not going to tear into it until I have parts. I have a new slide (ARH) and trigger spring right now.

Jim Maccari sent me an e-mail after asking if he might again offer the steel triggers for the FWB 124. He said “I may not do them again as all the tooling and fixtures are wore out and they were expensive to make and that is the situation.

Bummer! I'm always searching the Internet for a trigger. I'll take the original plastic version if I can find one in good shape.

That FWB 124 is in decent shape. I’m a sucker for JM’s stocks. The top of that receiver shows what happens when you don’t use the correct scope mounts on these guns.

Your correct ! I noticed the scars on the receiver top as well. Plus, the 124's dovetail grooves are different than the RWS line of rifles. The only mount that I found to fit correctly was the BKL one piece with droop compensation. No stop screw and the mount hasn't moved at all.

Yes, BKL's usually work well. Sportsmatch makes mounts specifically for the FWB and Webley rifles that have the "cross slots" on top of the receiver. The mounts have a bar on the bottom to "marry" with the cross slots. EAW also makes a mount specifically for the FWB guns but these mounts now cost more than a decent FWB sport. Do you have model numbers for the Sportsmatch or whatever you are using on your 124 ? Problem is I need droop compensation. Nice rifle ! Mine isn't a safe quuen but still nice. Early San Rafael Jnc probably made in late 1978. Shoots very smooth and power is good. Did some tests with weighed JSB 7.33 gr. pellets. Pellets weighted at 7.3 gr went 854 fps. Pellets weighed at 7.5 gr 848 fps. For a 43 year old rifle it's sweet.

The gun shown has an EAW scope mount. That’s what I’m using on that FWB 124. Contact EAW and expect to pay $350-$450 for the mount. Sportsmatch mounts made specifically for the FWB rifles work well. Their one piece 1” mounts are part number HOP23C and their 2 piece 1” mounts are part number TO3C. Once upon a time you could buy direct from Sportsmatch so I suggest you start by contacting them since the link I provided to these rings on the PA site appear to be out of stock. Do the Sportsmatch rings have the cross pin designed for the FWB's shallow stop groves ? The BKL has six clamp screws and hasn't moved even without a stop pin. It was $60. The EAW mount is to pricey for me !

The spirtsmatch have a 4 screw base clamp, have been using them for many years on hard recoiling springers and never had one move and I dont use the stop pins.
You may also try JG airguns in Indiana, for your trigger, he frequently has the little odd and end or hard to find parts. Might be worth a call.

I love the BKL mount so as long as scope movement isn't a issue I'm not going to replace it.

David Slade (Airgunwerks) replaced my broken trigger and a full tune. Just got the FWB 124 back. Will shoot it next week
