Trigger Pull. Tempest in a tea cup?

I've repaired too many triggers that have been lightened to the point of being dangerous. In many cases, there's a point where too light a trigger hurts accuracy rather than helps it.
Yeah, I like a micro solid wall of some sort to begin with. If blow on it light with no definitive wall I suffer. Some would welcome the surprise shot...I do not

Like most things for me it is context. Walking around the farm cleaning things out trigger pull is less critical. If I am shooting off a bench shooting tiny dots in a precise and consistent manner it is important to me. The lighter the rig on the bench the more important. Tigger pull is potential energy that get released when it breaks. This energy is not a friend.

Every one of my powder burner pistols and revolvers have had a trigger job. Also on my rifles. I can't shoot well with a heavy trigger. I have just 3 pcp rifles. A marauder that was trigger tuned down to a 9 oz pull, A Redwolf with a 3 oz trigger pull and an Alpha Wolf with a 3.5 oz pull. The Daystates came that way. I am spoiled now.

I prefer crisp and consistent...with noticeable staging, minimal overtravel. Preferred weight...it depends. I "grew up" in Highpower Service rifle...4.5lb min.
My BPCS rifle has set triggers, IIRC 1lb.
The Mrod measures 1.75lbs...but the 1st stage is loooonnnngggg...and there a pile of overtravel. I usually do my own trigger work. Made some basic adjustments...but just haven't gotten to tuning it...yet.
