Thursday I gave my 77 lam. .177 an initiation. Put on BKL mounts on an Element Scope. With fresh snow easy to track all shots, to zero in. Spotted a twig 30 yds. away. Carefully aim
watching to see where the shot goes. Pull trigger and the twig jumps. I’ve mounted at least 60 scopes and never been zeroed from start, been close but never dead on. I shot 20 rounds in disbelief, missed once. Had to go inside, 8 deg. F. but a dirty wind. All day I’m gloating to myself, I thought I won the lottery. Looking forward to tomorrow with better weather to shoot this gem. Friday still cold I’m out at 10;30 can’t get the pellet in quick enough. Shoot at 2 in. spinner 30 yds. away. Miss, must have pulled the trigger. Take another shot 25 yds. Miss. Shoot in fresh snow to see where it’s going. High and to left, out 8 inches. I don’t understand.
I checked all stock screws and scope screws, no problem.
What is going on?
Has anyone had this happen?
How can it shoot flawless and then a complete embarrassment?
