The other thing that Travis and Matt do is pander on every forum they join. They spend very little money which I consider " hush money" in their cases, then become a " supporting vendor" which buys them protection. They then go on to reply to nearly every new person thinking about buying an airgun, while suggesting something like a Gamo, Benjamin , gauntlet or anything under 400.00 so they can then turn right around and sell them upgraded parts pioneered by others, while playing nicey nicey. If anyone points out what they are really doing or questions the shady business practices, or their " innovative technologies" pioneered by others long before they ever had one original idea, both of them run and cry to admins while trying to have that member banned. Over on the other forum , it's like a competition to see who can get whose money first and if you say one word or question anything, Travis and Matt will do their best to have you banned. Although they are not the only ones doing it, These two are exactly what is wrong with the airgun community,
I would never buy a single thing from Jefferson State Air Riles. Personally I don't think they even have air rifles for sale. You call and have them build something at which time they probably rush out to Walmart and buy a Benjamin and start changing parts, or adding parts.
And don't dare mention an FX gun, or a Brocock or anything that needs no upgrades. It will cause an uproar and the next thing you know, the admins over there start slapping wrists, handing out warnings, removing posts, banning people, all in an effort to support shysters, salesmen, and your basic bottom of the barrel scum.
It is by far and away the absolute worst forum to frequent if you just bought something like a new FX gun and want to discuss its merits, post a few photos and meet others with common interests. This will be met with envy, hostility, and snarky remarks and if you open your mouth, it may as well be to say, " goodbye.
This medium is a far FAR better forum for real enthusiasts.
