Trail/pack small game pistol?

Just remember if you opt for a PP700 there is about an 80% chance you are going to have to work on it. I read an 80+ page thread over on GTA so I knew going in what I might get into. It is easy to hand pump but my reg never worked and it was a chronic leaker until I got that all ironed out with my credit card. You would really like my PP700. I made a short LW barrel, cut the shroud down to match the barrel and shorter air tube. It has a Huma reg and I get 15 smoking fast shots with 8.80gr pellets. Then it’s only 26 pumps to pump it back up. With the choked LW barrel, it is crazy accurate. I have whacked quite a few starlings at 50+ yards.

Would the pp700 be my first choice for such use as OP inquired about? Probably not, due to the air filling issue. Would it be likely to function as needed in such use for a short time? I think it probably would. A person might need to put better o-rings into the pistol however mine does not leak stored air. But I would still prefer an Alecto or a Crosman 13XX platform because of the air issue. You could probably shoot as long as you had pellets with those. Knowing that anything can fail, I think I would bite the bullet on a little extra weight and carry both an Alecto and a 13XXX. Backup might be nice. 😋
