Does anyone make a lighter NP XL sear spring? I know Mcarbo made a trigger return spring, which no longer appears on the site. But they didn't make a sear spring kit. I have removed the return spring for now, because it really doesn't do anything of value in that trigger. Trigger pull still measures about 4.2lb. With polishing I can probably bring that down to a clean 4lb pull, but it would be nice to have a clean 2lb second stage, and something like Mcarbo return spring to take up first stage. I have looked over the internal sear and mating surfaces, and I don't see any reason for the trigger spring to be that stiff from a safety standpoint. If there is a valid reason I am open to suggestions. If I can't find an aftermarket one, I might get some spring wire and make my own, but the process of anneal, shaping and re-heat treating is not something I look forward to on a piece that small. Temperatures are critical, and even the slightest mistake could make the spring dangerously brittle.
