Trades gone wrong?

Update, I have a tracking number and it should be here Saturday. Thanks for the support, this was the most expensive trade I’ve ever done and it’ll probably be the last. Too much at stake and although most people are good, trustworthy people it only takes one.

im curious, im on a few other message boards and some have specific sections for posting good and bad exchange experiences, is there a thread here for that?

Do you feel safe buying and selling with PayPal? If so then why not you "buy" his gun and he "buys" your gun. Sure it will cost you the 3% fee but seems like cheap insurance that you don't get taken. (if you ship thru PP you get a discounted rate so it would actually be less then the PP fee) If each of you get the gun then nothing is done. If you don't get your gun then you file a complaint. If he doesn't get his then he files complaint. It would work just like any other PP transaction.

Of course if you don't trust the PP guarantee then disregard the suggestion.

Good idea if both parties are willing. I'm on the fence regarding a trade with someone with no feedback. I'll likely suggest this approach to protect both sides.

Well, the story continues, I received the rifle but not the agreed upon remaining payment. I’ll give him today and if I don’t have my payment by tonight I’ll make sure I post the name here tomorrow.

Lots of guys are saying that they like the "new" classifieds since Michael has decided to not allow any replies from members. This is where I disagree. I am on a fishing site and ALL correspondence regarding classified ads MUST be posted in the thread. If you get caught dealing behind the scenes via PM you can get banned. If your entire "deal" were out in the open for everyone to see I think members take care of the business much quicker. FWIW the site I am talking about probably has an issue with 1 in a thousand threads.

As a side note, those who frequent the new yellow forum, what has happened to that classified since the owner stopped allowing replies? WAY less traffic is what I see, and more attempts to scam.

I certainly wish there was a section for that There are most definitely some “dirty” deals on here. Some people like to thro boo hoo stories I think it makes them not feel to bad about burning someone when they make an agreed to deal.

There is a section for that.

While most is positive if you search you will find some negatives. I would not hesitate to post negative experience from a member in this section
