Hi, Just wanting to control the Sparrow population around my Purple Martin colony and was recomended to get a Bejamin Marauder. Looking at shots of 30 to 40 yards maximum. I think I have the airgun picked out, (synthetic stock, 22cal, Lothar Walther/Picatinny rail.) Any recomendations on Scopes for this distance, and was looking at Rov Air compressor, but all seem to be out of stock. Probably will be using a shooting bench, as in my experience, that limits most human error. lol. Looking for accuracy so not to hit vinyl fence/ bird house. Thanks in advance for any and all comments.

Get a dreamline used on here for $600-700 and buy a GX Cs3 compressor. 500mm barrels have zero POI issuesand thlse guns are all you need for sparrows, plus excellent accuracy with many pellets and light slugs. I lile bullpups myself. But for the money a used dreamline is hard to beat.accuracy, trigger can be adjusted to be very nice,high shot count magazines and high shots per fill at lower power for your ranges.

This guy has a new dreamline for $700 and get a gx cs3 from Amazon around $300. Aboit the same budget numbers as a new marauder and a rovair.

I think you are on the right track. The Marauder is a great platform. I suggest looking at Hawke or Athlon scopes. Both excellent brands.
However, in the interest of spending your money wisely, here is a great youtube channel that has more information on scopes than I ever will.

I love this, you get told to buy a used rifle, even though you cannot access the classifieds. Then when you are able to access the classifieds the seller won't sell to you because your rating is a zero. Not always but there are people here that have never read Catch-22.
Buy your Marauder, learn how a PCP rifle works before you buy used. Because there is no warranty on used and if you have purchased someone else's problem you now have to fix the rifle.
Or keep it simple and buy a blemished AirForce Talon or Condor .22 from their outlet store.

I told him to buy a new rifle from a closing shop. Read a bit more please. Just offerred a side lever regulated over a bolt action and still at the same budget price he was looking at with a new marauder and a new rovair. There is a used marauder in the classifieds, and he can see them, he just cant private message. I would say a marauder over a talon for sure. I started with budget krals, had a couple marauders and was never impressed. Sidelever is so much better than bolt action in air rifles. Dreamlines are one of the smoothest actions out there and their mags are great. I own 2 impacts and a maverick currently, but have owned many others.
