TORQUEING STOCK SCREWS

I think torquing screws holding the stock to the rifle probably makes sense for guns where the barrel touches the stock. But I don't think it is very important for my PCPs where the air tube is what touches the stock. But on the other hand, I have seen small changes in point of impact after removing and replacing the stock. Small as in fractions of an inch at 30 yards. For plinking they are probably insignificant. But for 30 yard challenge targets I have to tweak the scope. So maybe it is still a good practice for airguns whose barrel does not touch the stock. I have a screwdriver type torque wrench although the back screw of my bullpups cannot reasonably be reached by that wrench. I'd have to use a 1/4 conventional torque wrench which I have too.
