top reticle

I don't know of one ideal reticle for all situations. It is interesting that many people decide to buy a scope based upon various superficial features, and for airgunners a largely irrelevant issue such a glass quality (because even basic budget scopes invariably exceed the actual needs of 99% of them), when a good reticle for the task/person and the ability to maintain zero is important.

For quick moving targets with confused background, usually at shorter ranges with little holdover, I prefer a simple point of aim given by the "German No 1". Sometimes available in budget scopes. I love this for squirrels darting through trees.

German #1 Reticle

For longer range and precise targeting and shooting, I actually prefer the Falcon B20 over any Schmidt & Bender reticle; which I find are commonly irrelevant to even use on a centrefire rifle.
