Backed the car up to the front door, so the nosy neighbors in the 58 plex they built across the street can't see what I am loading, into my car, and then filled it up with guns, tanks, and airgun paraphernalia.
It was a beautiful day about 60 deg and overcast with the sun breaking through now and then and just the hint of a breeze, rustling through the trees, but really nothing to speak of.
When I got out the range the Dynamic range about 20 lanes at distances from 25 to 150 meters was completely empty. It's mine all mine my greedy little self thought.
Got set up on one of the nicely made benches and noticed I had left my stapler on the floor by the front door, where I was trying to repair the door seal, so no targets today I thought. Bang, ouch my ear, somebody has a nasty loud rifle on the 100-200 yard rifle range 30 yards off to my right. So, in go the earplugs.
Picked out some leaves, pebbles and small pieces of wood on the 75 meter berm and fired off a couple of shots. They were way off even past the ability of my scope to dial that much windage. So off with the scope and then I loosened and adjusted the scope base on the gun. Much better it is now. Dialed in some windage and elevation and I was hitting tiny things at 75 meters. So, took it out to 100 meters and was still hitting my tiny targets. Pleased with my progress thus far I was.

I noticed that the silhouette range was now deserted, no more noise over there. So, pulled out the ear plugs, packed it up and moved a hundred yards over to where I would have some steel to shoot.

Started right off shooting at the 200 meter rams but had to hold more elevation than the scope had on the reticle so another adjustment was made. You can just make out the rams on the right side of the 25 yard sight in target stand used on an early visit.
The RSO, range officer, came by and had a stapler in his hand so I was able to put a couple of targets up and took them out to 100 yards not meters this time.
I shot a group or two at 830fps. Then I got out the chrony again and started checking velocities, as I cranked up the macro wheel, to find the knee on the velocity figures. Found the knee, and dialed one back on the macro wheel, and I started hitting the ram regularly with the 700mm .30 Superior liner equipped "Sniper" version Impact.
Tunes for pellets;
It did fairly well with the JSB 44.75s at 830fps at 100 yards but did not look into the lower velocities much further.
Reg 125bar
Macro 8 Micro 3.2
Valve adjuster 4th line

But look at what it did, with the same pellet, at 890 to 900fps. Much better it is.
Only change, in the tune, was the macro dialed to 15 and the Micro to 3.5.

I burned through over 300 pellets just goofing around and doing the tuning this day. It was a good day cuz I actually accomplished something while I was having fun.
But still have to center the reticle on my scope and clock my barrel liner so plenty yet to do.
Now to find a slug it likes.
