Too windy for groups

But not too windy to smash some tins! Gave the HW50 in .22 a little workout tonight. Shooting FTT 5.54’s at a blistering 600fps. Wind was coming at me and shifting left and right, did my best to time the shots. Took 2 shots per tin at 30, 40, 47, and 60 yards and managed to land all on target. For perspective, the “diamonds” at all ranges are 2” squares.

10mph winds with 15+ mph gusts here today. Took one shot with the 97 and just walked away for sanity sake.

I need to get a proper range setup like yours. I have so much scrap metal and my welder at work. I should probably put it to good use.

That’s a respectable one and done! A can of marking paint and random scrap metal goes a long way.

Nice shooting! The wind is my bane with springers. Good practice but frustrating!

Have you tried painting your metal targets with flat white spray paint then a coat of florescent orange spray paint? They really pop into view. I have been using the same cans for two months now.

I’ll give the white/ orange a try. I’ve done just white and that works pretty well
