Too Tight Pellets???

I bought a tin of Crossman Super Point Pellets .177 cal, 7.9gr, 4.5mm. for my RWS Diane pellet rifle, a break-barrel springer. I had just emptied a tin of pellets that worked very well, but I long ago tossed the tin so have no recall of the brand. Here's my problem; the Crossman SP Pellets are so tight that it is impossible to push them into the breech without smashing the soft tail-end of the pellet. I'm told by others that they use all manner of 'tools' to push the pellet in....like a ball point pen. I have a tremor, so loading them is a real nuisance. I'm looking to find a different brand and hate to buy a bunch of ammo that will give me fits and waste money. So.....have any of you guys had this problem and can you recommend a brand that is not so blasted tight?

Very rare that any reputable brand of pellet is oversized to the extent that loading is so problematic so I would say try one of 8 - 10gr domed pellets from JSB/FX/Air Arms, H&N, or RWS.

In the event it were to still be an issue, look into applying a slight bevel / bell mouth at the breech to aid chambering.

Crosman’s lead alloy is among the harder ones in the industry and their dimensional variability isn’t very well controlled so what you experienced is not all that surprising.
