Too much stuff

@Treefrog By “antiquated” I was simply speaking of Internet streaming services taking over the market once dominated by broadcast networks. With this shift came algorithmic targeting in marketing. Commercial advertising has long surpassed the limitations of television and radio spots (and other “traditional” methods). I do see pearls in your posts in regards to excessive acquisition.

Thank you. I do try. I'm sorry if I jumped ugly.

What they can do with audience targeting is frightening when you look at it in the cultural context. I will confess that I watch Squatch253, Watch Wes Work and This Farm Wife on youtube but that's about as far as I'll go down the rabbit hole.

I've got 9 expensive guitars......and don't even play. I'm not well off, either.
Lol

My girlfriend is mostly anti-gun of any type. Interestingly, she doesn’t much care what kind they are or what they cost she just can’t stand having tons of them around. So we agreed that I limit my collection to ten, which isn’t difficult since I really only shoot ten of them regularly. (I know many here would never agree to that, but I’m fine with it.). Plus as I sell off volume I’m able to upgrade each one and I like nice stuff more that lots of stuff.

Anyway the point is she just started playing ukelele and she decided she wants to own several of them. It’s been a month and she has two already. I told her that her limit is ten. We will see if this gives me more room.

good practice for when you get married a bit of comprise is much better than arguments . You always have to ask "is this worth fighting about , really ?"
Married 53 years and no fights or raised voices.

4 of my fly rods are AFTM 3 - 7 are 6 to 11 feet long, but i only have 2 reels for these.
Same go for the 3 12 - 14 feet 2 handed fly rods, one reel with floating line, one reel with sinking line.
I do have 3 reels for my surf casting rods, and 4 of those rods, also 12 - 14 feet long.
The spinning rods i have 5 of, from 8 to 10 feet, the longer ones also used in rivers, on the coast i generally use 9 feet rods and most often casting weight of 10 to 20 grams
Also have a 6 foot spinning rod that have a MAX casting weight of 10 grams, used that a lot in put & take lakes, for both spinning or bait fishing.
Using this tiny rod and equally tiny reel, and hooking up to a 4-5 kilo rainbow trout, using 0.16 mm line, well you can not rush it, and the damn rod will nearly fold over on itself.
i also have 2 rods for deep sea fishing, which here are mainly COD, but one of them i have a HUGE reel generally for shark / tuna fishing.
And i am very glad that the tuna are back in Danish waters after having been gone since the late 60ties, BUT ! i do not have the strength to go fishing for such things today.
Actually pulling a huge 10 - 15 kilo Cod up from +100 M below, that would probably be pushing it for my physique today.
TBH so i think a whole day on the coast with a fly rod would not be good for my shoulder and elbow, severely worn bu a few years working as a painter.

Thats just some of the rods i recall, i am pretty sure there are more, i have not used either of those since 2006 or so, so if i was to go fishing, well new line would be a must have.
