Air Arms Tony Leach O-ring size?

I’m looking to replace the O-ring below the red piston seal.

I assumed it’s either a
22 x17x2.5mm
or
22x18x2mm
Or
23x18x2.5mm

Anyone know which I should try.

In an email from Tony he said they are 22x18x2mm. He also said that they are probably not needed if the seal is kept lubed. I broke mine and the spare so I tried going without and I’ve seen no noticeable change in fps. Uj

I tried
1. No O-ring. Power went down from 10.8 FPE to 8 FPE.
2. The 22mm OD O-ring. After about 50 shots it got chewed up. I could feel the O-ring rubbing against the comp tube on the return stroke when cocking. When I disassembled the action, O-ring was damaged. Tiny bits of the outer portion of the O-ring were found in the compression tube and on the piston.
3. Replaced and tried lubing the O-ring (very light lube) that lasted about 200 shots and the O-ring failed again
4. Tried a 21.5 mm O-ring. No lube…no issues yet…fingers crossed

about 200 pellets later. No issues with the 21.5 mm O-ring.
