Mike I just put them on myself . Sometimes I think the guys over complicate it. As long as the tubes not in a bind and it gets it pretty close to zero without having to move the scope where its way out of center you'll be fine . And if its a little off sometimes just reversing the rings can get it where it needs to be . But make sure you have a New or like new Allen or Torx wrench when its tightened . Stripping screws is no fun when your banging on a screw next to your expensive scope
Get proper rings and you will never strip a screw, My rings have Titanium screws and are cnc made from one solid block of aluminium with only 2 operations, they dont need to be lapped..
Thanks guys. Again, I just want the opinion of some of you with more experience than I. I did get FX No Limit Rings. From what I hear, they're pretty nice. Do you all use a torque driver to install them. I'll also assume Loctite blue???
I don't bother with torque wrench, just don't overtighten the base screws because you risk damaging your rail. I don't use loctite either because it is a pcp, no recoil. But that is just my way, one of so many airgunners.
