Today my Titanium Falcon arrived from my AirgunSmith Allen Zasadny.
I’m so excited about this beauty.
Here are some details on her.
Weight is a mere 6 lb 7.1 scoped and ready to hunt.
A 14 in FX Smooth twist barrel. Overall length is 38 inch.
Allen installed a Huma reg.
It’s shot to shot consistency is fantastic!
So here are the details as I understand it.
If anyone can add to this please feel free to opine.
At some point AirArms purchased Falcon LTD. AA Manufactured Falcon for a short time. Sometime later the owner died. His family was not as interested or active in the business. They hired a manager to run it. Unfortunately the Q C suffered greatly. During this time 12 Titanium units were built mostly from spare parts.
Some turned out better than others. 8 of them made it into the States.
Unfortunately mine was one with a bad barrel.
After taking possession of mine
I shot it like 10 rounds and knew it had issues. The next day I sent it off to Allen to preform his magic.
After a barrel replacement and some internal parts that needed plenty of machine work I have it back and proud to say. It’s a great little gun.
I mounted a scope and zeroed it and shot it over the Crony.
I’m looking forward to take it to the field and spending some time with it.
The wooden block around the trigger block was made by Allen to protect the trigger during shipping.
