I gotta agree with the Marauder, and I’d get the field target model with the LW barrel. Even though they only come in .22 you can still pick the heavy pellet and have around 25 grains if I remember correctly. My first pcp was a .25 marauder and it was capable of hitting a quarter at 50 yards every time if I didn’t blow the shot. I shot many raccoons and skunks with it.

They have decent triggers, my friend got a Gauntlet and the trigger was awful, although the gun was quite accurate. Trigger is extremely important for good accuracy in my opinion.
 
As much as I think the Bulldog can do a lot, I don't think it is the best option for a first PCP. A Marauder is a good choice. I'm not sure about suggesting a Gauntlet, if you go for one of these, buy one from Hajimoto and have him set it up and test it properly. The stuff Troy Hammer is selling is also a pretty good choice because he can go through and set it all up and test it properly.
