N/A Tinker time, cheap tools, and lead

It's back together, but no numbers or accuracy test just yet. Still working out a few things. As far as pass or fail predictions....I stand at a firm maybe in either direction.
Old barrel cut off...it's fault for getting too close to the saw.

drilled out to accommodate a new barrel. Nice tight fit, 2 grub screws on top to lock it in.

New crosman 22 barrel installed, carbon fiber sleeve, functional underlever catch. Test fired 1 time, and back to sorting a few things out before getting to excited.

no more time for this today...until next time

A little chrono testing this morning. Removed the shim in front of the top hat reducing spring compression in favor of a smoother shot cycle. New barrel is a couple inches longer than the factory 1. Now rws super at 651 fps.

sig venom which are heavier coming in at 658, and h&n ftt 14.66 at 653 fps. Almost ready for accuracy testing which will be the true pass or fail test of all this work.

Cycled through a bunch of different ammo yesterday. RWS super hp showing good results. 20 yards seated on the dirt, offhand.

am ready to declare the barrel swap a success. Still breaking in the new seal, maybe 200 rounds through so far. Shot cycle is very nice, no twang. Rifle overall is exceptionally quiet with most of the noise being associated with the pellet striking the trap. Much more tolerant of other ammo as well. Trigger breaks a little heavy at this point but is not unmanageable for the time being.
