Time to take the gas guns out of the moth-balls

Being the warmest day of 2022 so far, today I got out for a little yard-work. That it seemed warmer than it really is brought a few realizations.

1) Advancing age combined with several months of sedentary semi-hibernation might make for a slower return to fitness this year.

2) My allergy to work (of any kind) is exacerbated by heat and advancing age.

3) However, the best treatment for that allergy is shooting.

4) The arrival of Daylight Savings Time means not only more shooting time, but...

5) Also the arrival of Co2 Season! :)

Time to break out them gas-guzzlers, Boys!

Besides the genuine Prairie Rattler adornment, and the NRA Silhouette State Champion title prompting the adornment, the other thing making this Tau 7 special is it's .22 caliber.

CO2 guns are a gas, man.

I really like the 150's. My big mits need the wrap around grips.. Fun to roll cans with. Only need the low power setting and shot count is a lot higher. Whap a sparrow with the 150 and they definitely know it.

This is my beater 150. Take along. I let so many kids shoot this one. Sweaty potato chip snack hands won't hurt a thing. See how I made the trigger adjustable? Found this gun in the basement of a burned out house 30 years ago. See my Uncle Mikes pellet pouch? They were the best. They should bring those back.

I got a whole bunch of Crosman co2's. I epoxied a dovetail for a scope on to my 3rd variant 160 and it's still on there 25 years later.

Apparently I don't have the maturity for a 600. I always start pulling the trigger too fast and it goes fizzzzz too soon.

Made an adapter and bulk filled my 622. Ground half the sear away and now it has a 1/2 decent trigger instead of 1/4" of creep. Fun shooter you don't hear much about. Probably because that crap trigger and they're hard to put together without the dummy trigger pin I made. Forgot to say I pinned the valve body. Gotta pin the valve body on a 622 or she break.

I got a NIB Mrodair Plikster (as above) in an auction this winter. Made the opening bid and nobody else bid.. It's out in the shop and I never even opened it. Time to cut the tape?

god, another evidence room collection. i'd rather have a good look at one of them than be impressed by how many of them!

IMO (as if ya need more lol), you might want to reconsider hanging your rifles like that, resting on the barrel seems like a bad idea.
and the other hooped thru the trigger guard? ugh.

and are those... METAL hooks with no padding? that pic is about 3 years old, hopefully fixed by now.

Metal hooks have shrink tube over them. No soda straw barrels here so no problems that I am aware of. Pic is fifteen years old now. Took awhile before I put it up on Imgur.

But in three years I gave the 700 away and the nice looking 1740 stock as well and the 160 was stolen. So, the display looks a bit different now. It's all going to my son in the next month or two as I be moving in with one of my daughters in Utah.

uggh. another police line-up. :p

i dunno why the need for showing them all at once, unless it's to show off how many you have?

give me one good current pic of any one of them. :) To me, so many look close to the same from a distance.

something where the viewer can appreciate some detail.

god i so rudely stole this thread didn't I?

Yes, it is a Crosman Model70. Bought it many years back and it was a disappointment when I received it as it leaked when I shot it and it had a broken piece of plastic up front that the seller said nothing about. Both easy fixes that I have never done. It is quite surprising how well they did the stock it really looks like wood.

The other that you mention is a Model 99 I think it is a Savage look alike if memory serves. I got this one from the late Hoyt Vandenberg after he did a pretty nice refinish and paint job on it. He was one of the Crosman forum moderators for some years. Have a couple of 622s and a 101 in pieces as well as a bunch of pistols too.

Most are going to my son soon as I am moving to Utah to be with my daughters.

Have too many to show all at once and too many to show one at a time as well. So this will have to do. If you want pics of individual guns let me know and I will see what I can do for you.
