I was searching around and noticed there is barely any ar15/m4 platform style rifles and the ones there are not very powerful think any are coming?

Buy what you want and shoot what you want. This is about the same argument people had when the ar platform was introduced for hunting. The "old school" guys didn't like the black plastic rifles and thought only wood guns were ment for hunting. As long as we ate all shooters, then shoot what you like and leave everyone else alone.
Some people like Air Arms, some people like AEA. There are just as many people who hate a brand as there are that like it. All of these topics that are "worried about regulations" well there is nothing you can do about it. Enjoy the hobby and stop trying to stop others from having fun.
Go have fun, stay legal and you will have no worries.
