Those pesky .30 cal Impact X barrel liner O-rings...now fantastic groups.

Esting Rowe did a video where he made delrin spacers to keep the liner O-rings in their proper spacing. I placed one O-ring dead center on the barrel and one seven inches from each side of the center one. The fourth O-ring is 3" from the breach. I wrapped several layers of masking tape on each side of the O-ring to keep them from rolling up the barrel as it was slid into place.....but not enuf layers of tape to be greater than the OD of the O-ring. Just a light snug on the muzzle nut. Running about 820 fps. Now I'm scared to touch or change anything.

No wind,80 yards,5 shots

Next day, a steady breeze blew off aiming dot 2&3/4 inches to the right. 5 shots.

I'd like to get it up to 860 fps to lessen the wind drift....but scared to mess with it now :( :(

Steve from AEAC said they are there to improve the soundput of the rifle, I think that's what he said.

Harmonics, yes, which could translate into accuracy. I will do a back-to-back test on the bench to see if there's a difference.

I don't know if the breech end of the Impact barrel is the same as the Crown. If it is, you could put a 700mm (full barrel) on the Crown.....you would just have to use the 600mm shroud.

Those are my thoughts anyway.

To get those groups, I used a very solid shooting platform of a 5 gallon barrel full of dirt, Ransom front rest and home made rear rest. Bags filled with very heavy Zircon sand, fully adjustable for elevation and windage. Add many decades of competition shooting in nearly all rifle and pistol avenues as well as many friends I have gained and sharing their tips :) :) When you can see your heart beat move the cross hairs, you are not locked in solid enuf.

The Edgun gauge is saying 139 to 141 BAR average between shots. 894 was the highest I saw on the Labradar. The first shot was low, not sure why as the BAR at that shot was 148. Thinking the hammer strike can not totally release the higher BAR. The regulator creeps up several BARs after a few hours of sitting, almost always. That first shot is always a couple inches low at 123 yards.....time for a Huma regulator? Impact .30 regulator is stock and serial # 184039.
