My neighbor's eleven year old son killed his first buck late Friday afternoon, a four pointer. One shot through the heart. Dropped him where he stood. Saturday afternoon he picked up eleven doves. He said he lost two cause his grand daddy had the dog. His daddy's feet haven't touched the ground yet. Then, Monday afternoon he killed three Armadillos in the backyard with a old .22 caliber break barrel air rifle. What a Labor Day weekend ! Armadillos, I still find it hard to believe those sum beeches are in the South Carolina low country.

They are to me.
They have been tearing my yard to shreds.
I just haven't been at the right place at the right time to put them in one of the holes they dug.

I'm kinda late to the conversation here but I've seen many here in Cape Girardeau and Scott Co. Missouri. I owned land north of Sikeston and had a few on it. I stay clear because of the disease they carry. We bred dogs and didn't need no disease like leprosy around the grandkids either

We have some armadillos here in Nashville TN. , kinda rare but you see them on the roads dead once in while , I belive they are pests
