This STINKS!

So, I am new here and new to pcp. I had posted a WTB on accurate shooter before being a part of this site and ended up buying a Daystate Wolverine b hi-lite in 22.

I had researched pcp for a while and lucked up on my air source. I have scba tanks and the ability to fill them for free at the fire station so I am very blessed in that regard. I purchased a stikman before I bought a gun.

Today I received my rifle, scoped it, and aired it up and began the zeroing process. To say that I like shooting this type gun is an understatement!

My wife and kids come out and I ask my wife if she wants to shoot it. She is a good shot when I can get her to go. She shoots it several shots and says this is fun. She asked what I paid for the gun and I told her. Her reaction was, well I need one and the kids need guns and then we can have competitions. My wife is a hard worker but very frugal. Yes, I am blessed! Needless to say I was shocked that she wants me to buy more.

So, THIS STINKS, because I am going to have to once again spend another fortune on the shooting sports.

I know everyone that reads this is going to feel sorry for me. I am certainly down in the dumps! 🤣

Thank You. I figure life is short. As long as the bills are paid and we have a decent emergency fund, what the heck. I can't take any of it with me. I have worked since I was 14 years old and I have been blessed. I don't believe in wasting money but guns are NOT wasting money. Besides, it doesn't bother me a bit to eat beans, taters and cornbread. Especially when I can supplement that with some gray squirrels!

Omg that's horrible! You were honest with her and she wants you to purchase more airguns?! Spend quality time with the family, build important life skills and teach gun safety to your children that they'll use the rest of their lives?! What nerve...Next time just keep it to yourself and you won't have this problem! 😉

Yep, I told her. Like I said earlier, I am blessed. She doesn't give me any grief. Now, several years ago, I acquired myself an ex-wife. That was the absolute opposite situation. I worked all the time and couldn't have anything. If you made a million she would spend 1.5 million. I do LOVE that guy she decided she had to have though. I couldn't pay anybody to take her off my hands and he did it for free. My life is MUCH better now!

I can relate TMH. A few years ago I bought a Glock 42, walked in the house with it, showed it to her and I haven't seen it since. But I am glad she is willing to keep something handy. I guess as long as I behave I'll be alright. I hope that if I go before she does that she keeps mine for the kids unless she just needs money. Out of all my children my youngest son, 5, is absolutely crazy about shooting, hunting and fishing. I have a 7 year old girl that likes it all too, bows, guns, slingshot, doesn't matter. I sure hate that about them🙄

I love pinto beans (cooked from dried beans), turnip greens (fresh, not canned) and home made cornbread (with jalapenos, onions and garlic). 



You can keep the tree rats. (grin)

Thanks everyone. Sorry she doesn't have a sister and from what I can tell about her mama, she may have been adopted.🤭 I bought a Benjamin Kratos today, barely used from Sleeper192 today. She had a smile on her face when she saw it. She doesn't ask for hardly anything so when she does I try to make it happen.

Let me also say that if anyone is ever interested in something Sleeper192 might have for sale, he is good to go. I have left feedback for anyone interested in the future.

I have been busy as a one legged man in a tail kicking contest the last couple of days but if I can tomorrow I will post some pics...of the guns, I married way above my status so no wife pics!

Then again, I guess if she were as ugly as a mud fence I wouldn't post pics either.
